Bandarban's Thanchi Upazila administration has banned tourist vehicle movement on the connecting road from the 21-km point of the Thanchi-Alikadam road to Tindu Bazar for an indefinite period.

The ban will remain in force until repair work is completed due to the road's risky condition.

Thanchi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Abdullah-Al Faisal issued a public notice in this regard at around 10:00 AM on Friday.

According to the notice, the connecting road from the 21-km point of the Thanchi-Alikadam road to Tindu Bazar is hazardous. Therefore, tourist vehicle movement on the route will remain suspended until repairs are completed.

UNO Mohammad Abdullah-Al Faisal said, "The connecting road to Tindu Bazar has not been fully repaired yet. Maintenance work is ongoing. Tourists are facing accidents due to broken patches along various stretches of the road."

He added, "Since tourists arrive in Tindu from Alikadam, local authorities lack advance information about their presence. As a result, gathering accurate details becomes difficult whenever accidents occur."
