UN chief says 'subsidising fossil fuels is subsidising suicide'

PARIS, 16: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged governments Friday to stop subisiding the production of fossil fuels that are "boiling our planet and are the scourge of biodiversity".

"Subsidising fossil fuels is subsidising suicide," Guterres told leaders at a summit in Armenia ahead of next week's UN COP17 biodiversity conference.�" AFP
