Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of her personality rights, alleging that her name, face, photographs, voice and identity are being used for commercial purposes without her consent.

During a hearing on Friday (October 16), the court raised several questions about the scope of personality rights and directed the submission of relevant judgments and legal research papers to clarify the aspects covered by such rights.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 29.

The case was heard by Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, while advocate Praveen Anand appeared on behalf of Kriti.

At the outset of the hearing, the judge sought clarification on which elements could be included within the scope of personality rights.

The court asked for a more detailed examination of the legal boundaries and extent of these rights. Kriti’s counsel was directed to submit a compilation of relevant judicial rulings, research papers and other legal documents, along with his legal interpretation of the issue.
