Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after three motorcycle-borne men opened fire in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, injuring his driver and an autorickshaw driver, police said.
A social media post allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack and threatened people in the Mumbai film industry who work with actor Salman Khan.
The post, attributed to Anil Pandit and Anil Harman Sandhu, claimed they were behind the shooting and alleged that they had previously tried to contact Shroff to explain their position.
It also warned that people in the film industry who failed to comply with the group’s demands or worked with Salman Khan could be targeted next.
However, the authenticity of the social media post and the gang’s alleged involvement could not be independently verified from the information available.
Shroff, 36, is the son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff. He made his Bollywood debut with Heropanti in 2014 and is known for his action sequences and stunts.
