Ishraque to announce decision on resignation

Liberation War Affairs State Minister Ishraque Hossain has said he will make a final announcement regarding his resignation from the post at the National Press Club at 2:00 PM today.
According to a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday morning (October 19) the minister said, i would also face journalists on the occasion.
In the post, Ishraque said, he had seen some self-proclaimed civil society members celebrating the news on Facebook. He expressed hope that if the country ever needed another movement or struggle, they would return from abroad, inspired by nationalist ideals, to join it.
State minister said, ''i would now work against drugs with a hundred times more enthusiasm as a BNP activist rather than as a member of parliament or state minister.''
He also said, I would intensify cleanliness campaigns and visit different districts to strengthen the organizational capacity nationwide.
“Not minister, but the fight against drugs! Eliminate drugs, eliminate drugs” he wrote.
