Prof Yunus, Elon Musk featured on Ravana poster in India

A bizarre poster depicting a ten-headed Ravana featuring the faces of prominent global figures, including Dr Muhammad Yunus, US billionaire Elon Musk, and well-known politicians, has surfaced in Lucknow, India.

The poster was titled "Sanatan Bharat Virodhi Ravana" (Ravana opposed to Sanatan India).

The poster was circulated by an organization named Sanatan Raksha Sangh, which used the faces of these popular figures symbolically across the ten heads of Ravana.

The figures featured on the poster included former Indian MLA Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari, Azam Khan, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, US billionaire Elon Musk, former Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus, Indian lawyer Prashant Bhushan, George Soros, and Ilhan Omar.

The Dasehra or 'Ravana Dahan' festival will be celebrated in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, October 20. The poster, published ahead of the festival, has injected a distinct political dimension into the celebrations.

A video posted on the X (formerly Twitter) account of an Indian media outlet showed Samajwadi Party workers removing one such poster from a location in Lucknow.

Regarding the inclusion of Akhilesh Yadav's image on the poster, a Samajwadi Party member of parliament claimed that the BJP is concerned over Akhilesh Yadav's growing popularity ahead of next year's assembly elections.
