US embassy clarifies activities allowed on visitor visas

The US Embassy in Dhaka has reminded travellers of the activities permitted under B-1/B-2 visitor visas, including tourism, shopping and attending business meetings.

In a message posted on its official Facebook page on Monday, October 19, the embassy outlined the activities allowed under the visitor visa categories.

According to the message, B-1/B-2 visa holders may travel for tourism and holidays, go shopping, visit friends and relatives, meet business associates, and attend meetings and conferences.

The embassy also urged travellers to use their visas in accordance with the permitted purposes.
