Man electrocuted in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, Oct 23: A man named Jahangir suffered an electric shock while doing carpentry work at his home in Charmile Bodapara of Panchgarh Sadar Upazila on Friday afternoon. 

Locals rescued him and took him to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital, where a doctor declared him dead.

Dr Sutapa Banik, medical officer at Panchagarh Sadar Hospital, said Jahangir was brought to the hospital at around 12:45 pm on Friday, but he had died before arrival.

Panchagarh Sadar Police Station prepared an inquest report, completed the legal formalities and handed over the body to his family.
