The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has removed Mohammad Ashraful from his position as the national team's batting coach following criticism of Bangladesh's recent ODI performances.

Ashraful learned of his removal shortly after the team's training session on Saturday (October 24).

Former senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin is currently serving as Bangladesh's batting coach for the home series against the West Indies.

Bangladesh are scheduled to face the West Indies in the first Test at Mirpur on Wednesday (October 28).
