Govinda breaks silence on wife's extra-marital affair allegations

Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda has finally broken his silence amid ongoing public speculation regarding marital discord with his wife, Sunita Ahuja, and her accusations of extra-marital affairs.
Sunita had previously spoken publicly about tension in their marriage, hinting at an alleged relationship between Govinda and actress Komal Rani.
Addressing the controversy in a recent interview, Govinda chose not to directly refute the claims but suggested that an external party was intentionally influencing his wife against him. He added that he had sensed the emerging situation seven to eight years ago.
Discussing his personal life and the surrounding debate, the actor stated that individuals across the country, particularly women, were reacting based on their own perceptions.
Govinda noted that he prefers remaining silent because public reactions eventually fade, whereas harsh words leave lasting scars, adding that he avoids giving anyone a chance to question his conduct unless forced to.
The actor also touched upon past personal struggles, including a firearm accident in which he sustained a bullet wound to his leg. He claimed that following the incident, he received several offers to play an amputee character in films, turning down offers worth 20 to 22 crore rupees.
Maintaining that he has consistently prioritized self-respect despite facing adversity, Govinda reiterated his preference to maintain silence and avoid unnecessary controversy.
