Youth dies from electrocution while cutting bamboo

A young man died of electrocution while cutting bamboo in a garden beside his home in Kalia upazila of Narail on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Uzzwal Talukder, son of Kabir Talukder of Talukdar Para in Kalabaria village under Kalabaria union.

The incident occurred around noon on October 27.

According to locals, Uzzwal went to a garden beside his home to cut bamboo. At one point, a bamboo pole accidentally fell onto a nearby main power line, electrocuting him on the spot.

On receiving the news, police visited the scene and handed over the body to his family after completing the necessary legal formalities.
