Bangladesh opener Sadman Islam scored his third Test century but was dismissed for 105 early on the second day of the Mirpur Test against West Indies on Thursday.
Resuming on 99 overnight, Sadman reached his century but fell soon after to debutant spinner Joshua Bishop’s delivery, being trapped leg-before-wicket. He scored 105 off 234 balls, hitting 11 fours, despite taking a review.
Shortly afterwards, Towhid Hridoy was bowled by Bishop for 42, leaving Bangladesh two wickets down after adding just eight runs to their overnight total.
Bangladesh were 221 for five, with Liton Das unbeaten on 12 at the time of writing.
The hosts had finished the first day at 213 for three after 74 overs, with play interrupted several times due to poor light.
