One killed, two injured in car-autorickshaw collision

One person was killed and two others were severely injured in a collision between a private car and an autorickshaw at the Deulabari Bus Station area under No. 1 Deulabari Union in Ghatail Upazila of Tangail.

The accident occurred around 11:00 AM on Friday (October 30) on the Tangail-Mymensingh highway. The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be immediately confirmed.

Eyewitness Mohammad Al Amin said, "I was traveling on my motorcycle from Ghatail toward Madhupur. At that time, an autorickshaw loaded with pineapples coming from Madhupur was heading toward Ghatail along the left side of the road. Suddenly, a speeding private car coming from Ghatail collided head-on with the autorickshaw. 

Instantly, two passengers and the driver were left bleeding on the road with fractured limbs. We quickly rushed them to Madhupur Hospital."

Ghatail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moksedur Rahman said, "Upon receiving the news, police promptly reached the spot, recovered the body of the deceased, and brought it to the station. Necessary legal action will be taken regarding the matter. 

The body is currently in police custody and will be handed over to the family following due procedures."
