Two crude bombs exploded on the road in front of a convoy of the 11-party alliance in Khulna on Saturday (October 31) afternoon, triggering panic among people in the area. No casualties were reported.

The explosions occurred around 3:30PM in front of the Shaheed Minar at Phultala Gate, as the convoy was travelling from Khulna city towards Phultala upazila as part of the alliance's Dhaka-Khulna-Kushtia long march.

Witnesses said several vehicles from the convoy had crossed the Phultala Gate area when two crude bombs exploded in succession on the road, shortly before the arrival of the vehicles behind them. Another crude bomb was found unexploded.

The blasts caused panic among people standing on both sides of the road, prompting them to run in different directions. The situation returned to normal after police arrived.

Officer-in-Charge of Khan Jahan Ali Police Station Md Abul Bashar said police had recovered the unexploded crude bomb. Efforts were underway to identify those involved in the incident, but no formal complaint had been lodged with the police station so far.
