Sonali Bank holds workshop on cyber security governance

Sonali Bank PLC has organised a day-long workshop on cyber security governance with the participation of its chairman, managing director and other senior officials to strengthen the bank's cyber security framework.

Titled “Top Management Awareness Workshop on Cyber Security Governance”, the workshop was held today, bringing together Sonali Bank Chairman Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director Md Shawkat Ali Khan, deputy managing directors, general managers and officials concerned with information technology, said a press release.

Cyber security training and professional skills development organisation CyberFox Train provided support in conducting and implementing the workshop.

The workshop discussed cyber security strategies and policies, cyber risk management, protection of information and digital infrastructure, preparedness to tackle cyberattacks, regulatory guidelines and compliance issues.

It also highlighted the strategic role of top management in ensuring overall cyber security of the bank.
