Shaila Banu Jhumur joins Southeast Bank board as nominee director

Mrs Shaila Banu Jhumur joined the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC on October 29, 2026, as a nominee director representing Welldone Apparel Limited.

Jhumur is the chairperson of Welldone Apparel Limited, a sister concern of MNR Group, which operates 100 per cent export-oriented readymade sweater industries.

She has more than 30 years of experience in global trade and industrial and group enterprise management.

Jhumur completed her MSS degree in Political Science from the University of Dhaka.

She previously served as president of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of International School Dhaka (ISD) for two years. She is also associated with several social and professional organisations, including Banani Club, Dhaka Boat Club, Uttara Club, Purbachal Ladies Club, Gulshan Society and Gulshan Joggers Society.
