Anti-Israel protests intensified across Thailand as demonstrators held two separate rallies in Phuket demanding the closure of Chabad centers and stricter visa limits on Israeli visitors, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Sondhi Limthongkul, a veteran Thai media personality, activist, and former leader of the Yellow Shirts movement, led the gatherings, urging the government to restrict Israeli tourist entry under single-entry visas to a maximum of 15 days.
Limthongkul accused Israeli nationals of damaging local commerce by operating businesses that exclusively serve other Israelis, asserting that such practices deter European tourists from visiting Thailand.
He further accused the Thai government of caving to Israeli interests, alleging without evidence that secret bilateral agreements exist between the two nations.
The Phuket demonstrations follow a September 10 rally organized by Limthongkul outside the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok, where hundreds of protesters gathered carrying anti-Semitic banners and slogans.
During the previous Bangkok rally, demonstrators waved Thai flags and chanted "Taking Back Thailand" while displaying banners urging Jewish visitors to leave the country.
