Rajbari prepares to observe Nat’l Revolution and Solidarity Day

RAJBARI, Nov 4: A preparatory meeting was held in Rajbari on Tuesday to observe National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The meeting was held at 10 am in the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC)'s office, with DC Afroza Parvin in the chair.

Participants discussed adopting programmes in coordination with those held in previous years to ensure proper observance of the day.

Among others, Additional DC (General) Md Tarif Ul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police Tapas Kumar Pal, District BNP Convener Advocate Md Liaquat Ali, former district BNP Joint Convener Gazi Ahsan Habib, former principal of Ahsanul Karim of Abul Hossain College, Rajbari District Sramik Dal President Md Abdul Gafur, District Council Executive Officer Md Humayun Kabir, District Education Engineering Department Executive Engineer Md Badrul Alam and Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Executive Engineer Md Mahmudul Hasan attended the meeting.

Upazila nirbahi officers of the district's five upazilas, Assistant Commissioner SM Rahanul Islam, teachers from different educational institutions, heads of government and private organisations, leaders of social and business organisations, and journalists were also present.
