The 30th US Trade Show 2026 was inaugurated on Thursday at InterContinental Dhaka, bringing together business leaders, policymakers, diplomats and industry representatives to explore opportunities for trade, investment and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.

The three-day event, running from November 5 to 7, was jointly organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) and the US Embassy in Dhaka to showcase American products, services and technologies and strengthen bilateral business ties.

Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, inaugurated the event as the chief guest, while Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo attended as the special guest.

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen was the guest of honour. AmCham Bangladesh President Syed Mohammad Kamal and senior government officials, diplomats and business leaders were also present.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Speaker said Bangladesh and the United States shared a longstanding partnership based on trade, investment and mutual cooperation. He said the trade show would help expand business engagement and promote investment, employment and sustainable economic development.

Mintoo stressed the importance of international partnerships in building a competitive and sustainable economy, saying American businesses could contribute through advanced technologies, expertise and investment.

Ambassador Christensen said the United States valued its commercial relationship with Bangladesh and looked forward to expanding business partnerships, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.

AmCham President Syed Mohammad Kamal said the trade show had served as an important platform for connecting American businesses with the Bangladeshi market for three decades. He said the 30th edition aimed to promote bilateral trade, investment and stronger private-sector collaboration.

The exhibition features American products, services and technologies from various sectors. Alongside the exhibition, seminars and discussions are being held on energy security, healthcare and medical technology, women's leadership, outbound investment, reciprocal trade, and the ICT and digital economy.

The trade show will remain open to visitors until November 7 at InterContinental Dhaka.
