Miscreants set fire to a parked passenger bus of Palli Seba Paribahan in Manikganj's Saturia upazila during the early hours of Saturday.

The vehicle, which was routinely used to transport garment factory workers, was torched around 1:15 AM in the Janna area under Fukurhati union. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Upon receiving information, firefighters from the Saturia Fire Service and Civil Defence station reached the scene and brought the flames under control, according to Warehouse Inspector Mojibor Rahman. Although the bus was completely destroyed by the fire, prompt action prevented any loss of life or injuries.

Local residents expressed concerns that the act of arson might have been carried out to create political instability. However, involvement of any specific political group could not be confirmed immediately.

Saturia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mosharaf Hossain stated that he was not aware of the incident initially but assured that necessary legal action would be taken following an investigation.
