Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Md Rashed Khan claimed that Amir Hamza, Member of Parliament for the Kushtia-3 constituency, is not answering phone calls and is currently away from his residence.

In a status posted on his social media account on Friday (6 November) night, Rashed Khan wrote that journalists were unable to reach MP Amir Hamza. He alleged that after initially failing to respond to phone calls, the MP switched off his mobile phone. Journalists visiting his Kushtia residence to obtain a statement were informed that he was not at home.

Rashed Khan further stated that Jamaat-e-Islami Kushtia unit Amir KM Ali Mohsin was similarly unresponsive to local journalists' phone calls regarding the matter. Comparing the situation to past incidents involving party members, Rashed Khan claimed Jamaat leadership appeared to be evading the issue.

Prior to this post, Rashed Khan had shared several social media updates regarding the lawmaker, alleging the existence of audio and video recordings of personal conversations involving MP Amir Hamza. He also claimed that Jamaat Amir Dr Shafiqur Rahman was aware of the matter.
