Haripur marks National Revolution and Solidarity Day with discussion

A discussion meeting was held in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon on Saturday, marking the historic National Revolution and Solidarity Day, November 7.

The programme was organised by the Haripur Upazila Administration, with Thakurgaon-2 constituency lawmaker Dr Abdus Salam attending as the chief guest.

Among others present were Haripur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Chandan Kar, Haripur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Hakim Azad, Haripur Upazila BNP General Secretary Abu Taher, Vice-President Rafiqul Islam, Organising Secretary Shafiqul Islam and freedom fighters.

Speakers highlighted the historical background of November 7 and its significance in the country's national life.

They also emphasised the importance of protecting the country's independence and sovereignty, advancing democracy and strengthening national unity.

The speakers called on everyone to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War and contribute to strengthening patriotism, civic responsibility and national unity.
