Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam plans to rebuild the team by combining young talents with experienced players as the side shifts its focus to the next World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday (November 8) ahead of the two-match home Test series against Sri Lanka, Babar said Pakistan had adopted a new approach following their disappointing tour of England.
“We are trying to find the right combination of senior and junior players so that we can give youngsters the opportunity to express themselves and perform,” he said.
Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the first Test at Rawalpindi from Monday (November 9), while the second Test will be held in Lahore from November 17 to 21.
