Case transferred to tribunal

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday ordered to transfer the Badda Garo woman rape case to the Prevention of Women and Children Repression Tribunal-4.
Magistrate Ziarul Islam passed the order as the court received the charge sheet.
The Investigation Officer (IO) of the sensational case, Sub Inspector Shahinur Rahman Khan on June 14 submited a charge sheet accusing Rafsan Hossain Rubel, Salauddin Mina, Al Amin and Imran.
Of them, the last two are absconding.
The IO also pleaded to the court to issue arrest warrants against them. As many as 15 people were made witnesses in the case.
The case documents state that the indigenous Garo woman was returning home from North Badda at night of October 26 last year. At that time, several persons including Rubel forcibly took her to a house at Road No 6 in Old Police Station Road at North Badda and gang raped her. On November 4, the Garo woman filed a case with Badda Police Station.
