Bravo Tigers for befitting Eid gift to the nation

Here in Dhaka on Wednesday, Bangladesh tigers handed an outstanding defeat to the Australian rivals in what came as a precious gift from the local boys to the nation which had been waiting for long for this auspicious happy moment to arrive. Before the Eid-ul-Azha vacation people really relish this victory as an Eid Gift from the tigers.
It finally came as a huge laurel just ahead of the sumptuous festival of Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated in a few days time. The win by the BCB tigers over the boastful challengers was no less than a feast in itself as the whole nation rose on its feet to cheer the victorious tigers and join then in loud celebrations. This destroyed the Australia's haughty disdain to the Tigers   and their repeated objections and unwillingness to play in Bangladesh.
They played up unfounded fears of terrorism to visit Bangladesh although other foreign teams including England had played cricket here recently without any problem. Australia cricket board's self evoked scare was apparently intended to throw dusts on Bangladesh's reputation as a country fighting militancy and terrorism with "zero tolerance" declared by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and pursued steadfastly by her government.
On Wednesday it was an added inspiration to the Tigers that the Prime Minister herself moved to the field to watch the match and encourage the players. She was so elated and overwhelmed with joy that she instantly announced Tk 2 crore as incentive to the Bangladesh team which can be treated as Eid gift to the Tigers from the state. The Tigers will also receive Tk. 4 crore for playing in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy in England this year.
The Tigers defeated Australia in their first Test ever in the home ground. The second test in the series is due to be played in Chittagong on September 4 and the maiden Test victory against the Aussies may set the stage for a probable second win.
President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina  and the entire nation congratulated Tigers for their astounding victory. We hope Australia will henceforth lower its ego and recognize Bangladesh as one of the strong challengers in the game of uncertainties. Bangladesh has proved its might and worth to the highest level in the sensational Dhaka match on Wednesday against snobbish Australia and set a new example before the world so that no one would in the future dare to take the Tigers casually or at ease.
Several renowned former world cricketers have praised Bangladesh's daunting play against Australia and wished the Tigers further victories in the days to come. They included India's cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, Sri Lanka's  Mahela Jaywardena and Australia's former Test captain Michael Clarke.
Nevertheles, Augustalia shall remain a formidable challenger to any world team and Bangladesh now is at par with them in both win and defeat. Our success in cricket should be copied in all other fields and it will enhance Bangladesh's efforts to become a developed country in all respect in the coming years.
