May I know about the available scholarships in Japan for Bangladeshi students?

Problem
Dear Sir, I am a student of Chittagong University. I am very much interested to go to Japan for my higher study. May I know about the available scholarships in Japan for Bangladeshi students?

Solution
Thanks for your nice question. Bangladeshi students can do MS, PhD and Post-Doctorate from Japan. There are 86 Japanese universities funded by the government termed as "National Universities". Moreover, number of public and private universities is also increasing in Japan. There is a great demand of research students in Japanese universities. International students are getting interested in doing higher studies in the Japanese universities. To do higher study with scholarship in Japanese universities, I recommend you to write directly to the professors. You will see the list of Japanese universities on the following website.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_universities_in_Japan
You can find the email address of the professors on the website of the respective university. Now I am going to inform you of the scholarships. In 1954, Japanese government established Japanese National Scholarship. Under this programme, many international students are studying in Japan. Bangladeshi students can do MS and PhD (Doctorate) under Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho: MEXT). The amount of scholarship is very attractive. Those who have family can easily survive in Japan if someone gets this award. Generally, one lakh 46 thousand yen is provided for Doctorate students (may slightly vary). Age limit is 24 to 35 years. Required CGPA in Bachelor and Masters degree depends on the admission criteria of the university. It will be nice to have a CGPA of 3.00 in scale 4.00. Application deadline is in the middle of March. Some universities need IELTS or TOEFL but not both. Better to start writing to the professors in between June to November. Please graze on the following sites for the Japanese Government Scholarship for PhD and JSPS Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Japan.

There are many organizations (IDB, IMF, UNESCO, United Nations University, Matsumae Foundation) who provide funds for international students to do higher study in Japan. Here I mentioned some important websites.

So, if you would like to go to Japan then directly write to the professors of the Japanese universities. Please tell the Professor that you are interested to do MS or Doctorate under his supervision via Monbugakusho Scholarship. If a Japanese professor accepts you, then he will send you the Monbukagakusho Scholarship forms for application. Here, I have written a draft email. You can write to a Japanese professor in this way.

Subject: Application for PhD under Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho:MEXT)
