Minor girl drowns in Kurigram

A three-year-old child drowned in a ditch in Kurigram’s Ulipur upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sumya, daughter of Saeedi Miah, a resident of Uttar Daldolia Bamanpara village in the upazila.

Locals said the girl came to visit her grandfather house. She drowned in a ditch in the afternoon.

Later, locals rescued the girl and took her to Ulipur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
