The Command Safety Seminar-2024 of Bangladesh Air Force was held on Tuesday at Dhaka Cantonment, Falcon Hall.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan graced the seminar as chairman and distributed flight safety trophies.
In his speech, Chief of Air Staff praised Almighty Allah and expressed his satisfaction for the successful inauguration of first Bangabandhu Basic Trainer (BBT) aircraft on 24 March 2024, under the esteemed leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, marks a historic milestone in our journey towards excellence in safety, training, and operational readiness.
He appreciated all BAF personnel for achieving significant 22,929 safe flying hours and said that, the year was full of events covering operational flying activities. I admired all the personnel of BAF who are engaged in carrying out the duties in different UN deployed contingents and offices.
Shaikh Abdul Hannan mentioned about the all-time readiness of BAF to protect our motherland and mentioned about the participation of BAF in International arena regarding Humanitarian Support Missions in Libya, Turkey and Syria.
He applauded the noble objective of the Command Safety Seminar 2024 for creating opportunity to share experiences for BAF professionals to strengthen the attachment and assistance in promoting flight safety.
The Air Chief urged upon all aircrew, technicians, controllers to be more vigilant while enhancing close supervision and strictly following the rules and regulations.
Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar was awarded “Inter-Base Flight Safety Trophy” and 11 Squadron, BAF was awarded “Inter-Squadron Khademul Bashar Flight Safety Trophy” for achieving the highest safe flying hours in the year 2023.
Aircraft Engineering SquadronofBangladesh Air Force Base Bashar was awarded “Best Aircraft Engineering Squadron Trophy”.
Senior BAF officers and Airmen fromAir Headquarters and all BAF Bases were present on the occasion. Rests of the personnel were present through Video Tele Conference.
Shaikh Abdul Hannan appreciated all concerned BAF personnel for successfully completing the Celebration of BAF Raising Day, Parliament Election support mission, President Parade Fly past in BAF Academy, Flypast in connection with the funeral parade of Kilo flight member Squadron Leader BirBadrulAlam and Air Vice Marshal Bir Sultan Mahmud, different Exercises, MEDEVAC and many missions for the government and sister services.
