Firoz M Hasan’s six decade long career celebrated

Firoz M Hasan, is a senior cine-journalist aged 82. He has been snapping photographs of film related events and film fraternity for six decades now. To pay respect to this veteran journalist and to celebrate his long career a programme was arranged on October 15 at FDC in the capital. On this day he stepped into his 82nd year. Chief guest of the event was Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu. Also present were actress Kohinoor Akter Suchonda, Syed Hasan Imam, Bangladesh Chalachitra Parichalak Samity president Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Bangladesh Chalachitra Shilpi Samity president Misha Sawdagor, BACHSAS president Abdur Rahman, Chayalok editor Md. Abdullah Ziad, film producer AKM Jahangir Khan and more. The programme was organised by cine-magazine Chayalok in association with Bangladesh Cine Sthir Chitragrahak Samity. After the programme a photo- exhibition was arranged featuring some of the black and white imageries captured by Firoz M Hasan in the 70s and 80s.
Speakers at the programme said that by honouring a veteran figure like Firoz M Hasan they themselves have been honoured. Firoz has captured history in his frames which have archive values. Firoz by himself is an institute.
