Mahmud Iqbal wins DEA Gold award

For their prestigious achievements in five deferent categories, Mahmud Iqbal from ULAB have won "The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award GOLD STANDARD 2018" in a special 6th Gold Award Ceremony on Monday, the 10th December, 2018 at The British High Commissioner's Residence, says a press release.
On behalf of Prince Philip is the husband and consort of Queen Elizabeth II, the British Deputy High Commissioner HE Kanbar Hossein-Bor, provide the award to Mahmud Iqbal at British High Commission, Dhaka. From modest beginnings in 1956, the D of E, as it is universally known to all those who take part in it, has grown to become a global phenomenon, operating in 140 countries and territories, with more than 2.4 million recipients in the UK alone.
Open to those aged 14 to 24, it is the best-known and arguably most successful enterprise established by any member of the British Royal family by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
During the award program Mahmud Iqbal join Lions Club International for fill-up social service objective. That time he took a project to fill up some The Sustainable Development (SD) Goals. His project helps to provide quality education 100 street children, boys and girls, between the ages of six and eight including. He organized a Diabetes Camping with "Take Steps to Fight Diabetes" title another side according to UN goals 6 clean water and sanitation is very important goal for us keeping this in mind he organized a "Safe Drinking Water" camping in many place of Dhaka city.
On the other hand, for the Development of skills he joined Alliance Francaise de Dhaka for French Language course, "I was reminded that you are never too old to learn something new and set a goal to learn a new skill every year" Mahmud said. He traveled Saka Haphong Mountain, with an elevation of 3,451 feet, is the highest peak in Bangladesh and also traveled in Keokradong, Thingdawl Te Tlang Mountain for cover Adventure Journey objective.
