Int’l webinar at DU to promote quality research

An International Webinar titled ‘Postgraduate Student Seminar’ was held virtually at Dhaka University (DU) aiming to motivate students for conducting quality research.

International Science Programme (ISP), a Sweden supported Research Group BAN: 04 organized the webinar at the Department of Chemistry of the university, said a press release today.

More than 60 researchers and students from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Iran joined the virtual webinar and participated in the discussion.

Former Chairperson of DU Chemistry Department Prof. Dr. Nilufar Nahar addressed the webinar as Cheif Guest while Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Rouf Mamun of DU Chemistry Department was present as Special Guest, with Group Leader of BAN:04 Research Group Prof Dr Mohammad Shoeb in the chair.

Three DU Ph.D students and an M.Phil student delivered presentations on analytical, environmental and natural products chemistry in the webinar.
