Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has indicated that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will not be allowed to go abroad for advanced treatment.
Replying to a question at a press conference organised over her recent foreign visits on Wednesday, she asked journalists how did they expect that the government would allow Khaleda Zia to leave the country.
"How do you expect it from me? Khaleda Zia has been given scope of living at home from jail. Is it not enough?"
The Prime Minister said the bus fare was brought at rational level after discussing with all concerned.
She said the government provides subsidies worth Tk 56,000 crore on fuel and power every year.
