IU student 'kills self' in huff with mother

A student of Law and Land Management Department at Islamic University(IU) in Kushtia reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her room at Adorshaw Para in Jhenaidah district.

Daughter of Advocate Sheikh Selim, victim Fabeha Suha was the 3rd year student of the university.

The family members said Fabeha hanged herself around 7pm on Saturday in a huff with mother. She was rushed to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Fabeha will buried in Jhenaidah on Sunday noon.

Expressing deep shock, IU Proctor Professor M Jahangir Hossain said, "We are very shocked to hear the death news. It’s a very sorrowful matter. "
