Muktijoddha SKC gets Hishab as sponsor for one season

Technology-based service provider Hishab became title sponsor of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) club Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra as the sponsorship deal was signed on Monday at a local hotel in Dhaka.
A few days back, the club's Japanese captain Yusuke Kato, through a Facebook post, sought financial help from all for his team's survival. The social media post in Japanese language had a video message to draw attention of the sponsors and donors.
Learning about the post, the Ambassador of Japan in Bangladesh also tried to convince influential businesspersons and people to stand beside the club.
At last, Hishab, a developer of a voice based digital systems interface platform and expert in vocal data analysis and biometrics, came to sponsor Muktijoddha SKC when the historic club had been going through financial crises and its participation in the football league was uncertain due to the condition.
In the sponsorship signing programme, Managing Director and CEO of the sponsor Zubayer Ahmed said, "It was very shocking that the football team named after the freedom fighters was not getting sponsor and depend in crisis when the nation is preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Independence. So we felt the need to be with the club."
Latter he added that they were primarily working with the club for one season and were looking forward to extend the tenure for five or more years.
The Minister for Freedom Fighters Affairs and chief advisor of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra AKM Mozammel Haque said, "Due to some unexpected happenings there was uncertainty about Muktijoddha team's participation in the football league. The credit will certainly go to our Japanese captain Kato who posted a statement in Facebook regarding the issue and inspired many to come forward and help Muktijoddha club to overcome the bad condition."
Thanking Kato and Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh, the Minister said, "Japanese Ambassador in our country too took initiative to influence able persons to stand beside the club in the situation."
The Minister urged to brush up the present club management for the betterment of club.
The jersey of the team was unveiled in the programme before signing the sponsorship.
Country's former star cricketer Raqibul Hasan along with the club officials was present in the programme.
