RU female student found hanging at hostel

A female student of Rajshahi University (RU) was found hanging at a hostel in Mirzapur area of the city early Sunday.

Deceased Mobashshira Tahsin was the third year student of Law Department. She hailed from Kendua upazila of Netrakona district, Prof Hasibul Alam, president of the department, confirmed.

Motihar Police Station SI Imran Hasan said they recovered the body hanging from a ceiling fan around 3am from the hostel near the varsity.

"It is not clear yet whether it was murder or suicide. The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy", the SI added.
