41 crude bombs recovered in Cnawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered 41 crude bombs from an abandoned house in Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj on Friday night.

Lt Col Md Munim Ferdous, commander of the RAB-5 in Rajshahi, confirmed the matter at a press briefing on Saturday morning.

He said being tipped off, a RAB team recovered the crude bombs from the house in Lavanga Sundorpur area under Nayalabanga Union of the upazila at around 8 pm on Friday but no one was arrested in this connection.

Later on, the bombs were deactivated in a mango orchard, said the RAB official.

Drives being conducted to arrest those involved in this connection, the official added.
