The grand finale & prize giving ceremony of English Olympiad 2024 was held at United International University (UIU) Campus on Tuesday.
Professor Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor of UIU, was present as the chief guest in the prize giving ceremony.
M. Syed Ismail, Country Director, Archroma, S M Arifuzzaman, Professor & Head, School of Business of Canadian University of Bangladesh, Col (Retd) Abu Naser Md Toha, Principal at Leaders’ School & College, Chattogram, Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, Executive Director & CEO, Real Estate & Sea Fishing at Rancon, Mr Abu Sadat, Director (PR) of UIU and Mr. Zia Uddin Mahmood, COO, Creative Business Group were present as Guest of Honors in the ceremony. The Olympiad is led byMohammad AmanUllah, Founder and CEO of English Olympiad.
More than 800 students from 30 districts competed in the final round of the English Olympiad, a nationwide contest that tests the English language skills and talents of young learners. It marked the end of the third season of the English Olympiad, which began in 2016 to promote linguistic mastery and global leadership among students.
The participants, who were divided into Kids, Small Starts, Juniors, High Flyers, Trailblazers and Seniors total of 06 groups according to their grades, faced two days of rigorous exam procedures conducted by prestigious examiners and adjudicators. The top three performers from each group received cash prizes, certificates, and medals for their outstanding achievements.
The participants and guardians expressed their excitement and satisfaction with the English Olympiad, which they said was a valuable platform for learning and showcasing their English language skills.
The English Olympiad plans to return with a bigger and better season next year, with the vision of inspiring more students to excel in the English language and become future leaders of the world.
