BYD debuts in Bangladesh with flagship sedan

CG Runner BD LTD, the distributor of BYD in Bangladesh on Sunday unveiled BYD SEAL sedan in the Bangladesh market. The global NEV giant has begun the journey by bringing its flagship vehicle, BYD SEAL on Saturday.

The BYD SEAL showcases a distinctive "Ocean Aesthetics" design and seamlessly integrates a suite of state-of-the-art technologies developed by BYD. Built atop BYDs e-Platform 3.0, designed explicitly for pure electric vehicles, the BYD SEAL is the worlds first mass-produced model featuring BYDs innovative CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology.

The cutting-edge technology integrates the Blade Battery seamlessly into the cars body, forming a strong "sandwich" structure that can achieve a remarkable torsional rigidity of 40,500 N.m/°. This innovation brings about remarkable advancements in safety, handling, and efficiency.

Furthermore, the BYD SEAL incorporates the iTAC (intelligent Torture Adaptation Control) system and offers both RWD and AWD configurations. With an impressive acceleration (0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds), and an ultra-low aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.219Cd, the BYD SEAL sets a new benchmark in the realm of pure electric sedan.

It also, features a slanted roofline, panoramic glass roof, short rear deck, waterdrop mirrors, wave waistline, and LED lights. Inside, the sedan has a 15.6 rotatable touchscreen for navigation, vehicle settings, and entertainment. It is complemented by BYDs intelligent cockpit system with voice command functionality. A premium HiFi Dynaudio sound system is onboard to heighten peoples music and entertainment experience. BYD SEAL features a PM2.5 filtration system, ensuring a clean and healthy in-cabin environment as well.

BYD SEAL is available in two variants: Extended Range (Rear Drive) and AWD (All-Wheel Drive). Specs-wise, both variants equip with an 82.56kWh battery, facilitates a range of up to 570km (WLTP). The dual-motor All-Wheel Drive variant has a front motor which provides 160kW/310N.m, and the rear offers 230kW/360N.m, enabling a combined output of 390kW/670N.m and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.

 The Extended Range variant features a single-motor Rear Drive configuration and an output capacity of 230kW and 360 N.m, enabling the car to go from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds.  For Both variants it takes 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. The BYD SEAL will be available in four colors: Arctic Blue, Aurora White, Atlantis Gray, and Cosmos Black.

The BYD flagship showroom was inaugurated at 340, Haque Center, Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Sarani, Tejgaon, earlier in the day.

 Customers will be able to experience the BYD SEAL and book the vehicles there. BYD has also introduced the Avant Garde Scheme through which customers who book the car that day will get free insurance, accessories, registration and double deposit.
