The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the number of Palestinian journalists killed since the beginning of the genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza has reached 136 with the recent killing of threejournalists.

Mohammed Reefi, a dedicated photojournalist who contributed to various media outlets, succumbed to injuries he sustained on March 15 when Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted thousands of Palestinians gathered at the al-Nabulsi Roundabout in Gaza City as they waited for aid trucks.  Mohammed was trying to get flour for his family in Gaza City.

Abdulrahman Sayma, a talented photojournalist and esteemed producer at Raqami TV channel, fell victim, on March 14, to Israeli occupation shelling of a residential property in the al-Bureij refugee camp, situated in the heart of the central Gaza Strip, reports Almayadeen.

Religious program presenter Mahmoud Imad Issa was also killed along with a number of his family members in an Israeli attack on their home on March 20.

This comes shortly after the Government Media Office in Gaza held Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the safety and lives of the journalists and members of the media, who were taken to an unknown location after being tortured and brutally beaten.

The Office stated in a press release, on Monday, that the Israeli occupation arrested a group of journalists who were reporting on the unfolding events in the Gaza Strip, as they gave updates on the wounded and famished in Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Despite constant warnings by Palestinian and international media against the Israeli targeting of journalists in the Gaza Strip and calls for their protection, the occupation neglected all calls and continued deliberately targeting and killing them in an attempt to conceal its genocidal crimes against the people of Palestine.

Journalists in Gaza are facing terrible dangers, brought forth by "Israel's" mass indiscriminate bombing of the Strip, communication and electricity outages, and supply shortages.

In early February, UN human rights experts sounded the alarm over soaring numbers of journalists killed in the war on Gaza, denouncing the "deliberate" Israeli strategy of silencing critical reporting.
