The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) hailing the
proposed national budget for the next fiscal year, said the budget has
been a time-befitting one.
ICAB also said the
reduction of tax on essential items, one-person company and making tax
rates applicable for two years are some of the welcoming features of the
budget.
However, widening the tax net is the demand of time to increase the tax-GDP ratio, they said.
The
top office bearers of the ICAB came up with the observations at a press
conference to disseminate its analysis of the budget at its office in
the citys Kawran Bazar area on Saturday.
ICAB
President Mohammed Forkan Uddin, its council member & past president
Mohammed Humayun Kabir, and CEO Shubhashish Bose were present on the
occasion among others.
