Short-distance passenger trains were supposed to run from Thursday during the curfew break, but the authorities changed their decision and kept the train movement off due to safety concerns.

Kamalapur Railway Station Master Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter on Thursday (July 25) morning.
He said, ''A few short distance trains were supposed to run today. The authorities changed the decision. Not a single train left the station since morning.''

Earlier, on Wednesday, Railway Ministry Secretary Humayun Kabir told media that they will run short distance trains only during the relaxed time of curfew. After that, if the government takes a new decision regarding the curfew, it will be decided again Thursday to run the train accordingly.
