General Aziz's wife, son leave for Bahrain

Former army chief General Aziz Ahmed’s wife and son have left for Bahrain on Wednesday morning.

An official of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport said that they left Dhaka by a Gulf Air Flight GF-251 which took off at 5:40am.

However, former General Aziz was not on the plane.

General Azizled Bangladesh's border guard BGB for four years from 2012. He retired on 23 June 2021.

Almost three years after his retirement, the United States imposed sanctions on him for alleged involvement in corruption.
