Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have arrested DB inspector Arafat Hossain in connection with burning bodies after piling them on a van in Ashulia on August 5.
He was arrested from Aftabnagar in the capital on Thursday night.
A video went viral on social media where found that two policemen piling up bodies one after another on a van and, later, burnt those.

Many people claimed the 1.14-minute video was recorded near the Ashulia police station area, outskirts of capital Dhaka. Qadaruddin Shishir, a Bangladesh fact check editor at AFP, said in a Facebook post on August 5 that location of the video was a nearby area of the Ashulia Police Station.
When the news come to light, inspector Arafat went into hiding.
In the video, Arafat Hossain was seen walking unarmed.
Earlier, Detective Branch of police arrested additional superintendent of police Abdullahil Kafi from Shahjalal International Airport on September 2 in connection with the incident.
