NSTU observes Martyred Intellectuals Day

Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) solemnly observed Martyred Intellectuals Day, commemorating the sacrifices of the nation's greatest heroes. 

The events took place on Saturday at the university's Central Shaheed Minar, where faculty members, students, staff and officials gathered to pay homage and participate in a brief discussion.

Led by NSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail, the program began with floral tributes at the Shaheed Minar. In his address, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail stated, "On this solemn day of Martyred Intellectuals Day, we honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives on this day in 1971. We pray for the eternal peace of those who were abducted and killed in the darkness of the night by the brutal Pakistani forces. Their ultimate sacrifice has gifted us an independent Bangladesh."

The event was attended by NSTU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque, Research Cell Director Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, and Acting Registrar Mohammad Tamjid Hossain Chowdhury, among others.

As part of the observance, a special prayer and Milad Mahfil were organized at the university's central mosque after Zohr prayers.
