Three Bangladeshi cricketers have made their way into the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, as Litton Das, Rishad Hossain, and Nahid Rana secured spots in the player draft held at Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort.

Of them, Litton Das, riding high on his sensational form in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), was picked by Karachi Kings in the Silver category's second round. Litton recently smashed an unbeaten 125 off 55 balls for Dhaka Capitals, taking his BPL tally to 240 runs in six matches. In Karachi, he will join a star-studded squad that includes David Warner, Adam Milne, Finn Allen, and Kyle Jamieson.

Bangladesh's leg-spinning all-rounder Rishad Hossain was selected by two-time champions Lahore Qalandars in the third round of the Silver category. Representing Fortune Barishal in the BPL, Rishad has taken four wickets in three matches so far. He will play alongside international stars like Daryl Mitchell, Kusal Perera, and Ahsan Afridi, as well as Qalandars' key players Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman.

Pacer Nahid Rana was snapped up by 2017 champions Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam. Nahid’s selection is a significant milestone for the young bowler, as he gears up to contribute to a squad featuring prominent names from the cricketing world.

On the other hand, despite being listed in the Platinum category, Bangladeshi stars Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman went unpicked during the initial draft rounds. Their prospects, however, remain alive, as PSL franchises will have another opportunity to select players during the supplementary category later in the draft.

Out of the 39 Bangladeshi cricketers registered for the PSL draft, five were placed in the Diamond category, including Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy, and Hasan Mahmud, but they, too, remained unselected.

The PSL 2025 draft featured 510 overseas players from 19 countries, highlighting the league's growing global appeal. For Bangladesh, the success of Litton, Rishad, and Nahid serves as a bright spot, showcasing the country's emerging talent on an international stage.
