Clark's ton powers Chittagong to victory over Khulna

Graham Clark's explosive century guided the Chittagong Kings to a commanding 45-run victory over the Khulna Tigers in Thursday's match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. 

This defeat marked Khulna's fourth consecutive loss in the Bangladesh Premier League.  

Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Chittagong posted a formidable total of 200/7, with Clark delivering a sensational 101 off just 50 balls. The English batter�s innings included a 128-run partnership with Parvez Hossain Emon, who contributed a brisk 39 off 29 balls.  

Chittagong suffered an early setback when opener Usman Khan was dismissed for 10 off 7 balls. However, Clark and Emon�s partnership rebuilt the innings, laying a strong foundation. Clark reached his century in just 48 balls before being dismissed. Shamim Hossain and captain Mohammad Mithun added finishing touches, scoring 16 and 11* runs, respectively, as the team reached the 200-run mark.  

For Khulna, bowlers Salman Irshad and Mohammad Nawaz stood out, each claiming three wickets and stifling Chittagong�s scoring in the death overs.  

In response, Khulna�s chase faltered early as they lost three wickets during the Powerplay. The team managed only 155/9 in their 20 overs. Darwish Rasooli top-scored with 37 off 31 balls, while Nawaz (25 off 20) and Afif Hossain (20 off 15) showed brief resistance but failed to convert starts into significant contributions.  

Chittagong�s bowlers dominated the innings, with Arafat Sunny taking 3-25 and pacers Shoriful Islam and Khaled Ahmed claiming two wickets each.  

The victory solidifies Chittagong�s position in the league, while Khulna Tigers face increasing pressure as they search for their first win of the season.
