Ali Imam Majumder, currently serving as the Advisor to the Ministry of Food, has been given the additional responsibility of Advisor to the Ministry of Land.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification on Monday appointing him to the new role.
The position of Land Advisor had been vacant since December 20, following the death of A.F. Hassan Arif, who passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. Since then, no one had been assigned to this role.
According to the Rules of Business, if the position of an advisor becomes vacant, the responsibility automatically falls under the Chief Advisor's jurisdiction until a new appointment is made.
The notification stated that, in continuation of previous directives issued on August 16, August 27, and November 10, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government has appointed Ali Imam Majumder to this additional role alongside his duties at the Ministry of Food.
