MBBS test: 193 quota candidates' admission postponed

The admission of 193 candidates selected under the freedom fighter and backward community quotas for the 2024-25 MBBS academic year has been postponed until their documents are verified. 

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) announced that any discrepancies found in their information could result in the cancellation of their preliminary selection.  

A press release from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, signed by Senior Information Officer Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, clarified that this verification process will not impact the admissions of other candidates or the ongoing activities at medical colleges.  

Parents of the 193 candidates are required to present original documents, including freedom fighter certificates, birth registration documents, and academic certificates, for verification at the Medical Education Branch of the Health Directorate in Mohakhali by January 29, 2025.  

According to policy, 5% of seats are reserved for the children of freedom fighters, martyrs, and war heroines, along with a separate quota for individuals from backward communities.
