Dhaka capitals secure crucial win to enter top four

Dhaka Capitals climbed into the top four with a commanding 8-wicket victory over Chittagong Kings, chasing down a modest target of 149 with 11 balls to spare. 

Tanzid Hasan Tamim, the tournament�s leading run-scorer, stole the show with an unbeaten 90 off 54 balls, including 3 fours and 7 sixes.  

The win, Dhaka�s third in 10 matches, keeps their playoff hopes alive. Despite the loss, Chittagong Kings remain in third place on the points table, with four defeats in nine games.  

Batting first, Chittagong posted 148/6 in their 20 overs. Openers Naeem Islam and Zubaid Akbari provided a slow start, adding 40 runs in 7.2 overs. Zubaid was dismissed for 23 off 19 by Mosaddek Hossain, while Naeem top-scored with 44 off 40. Contributions from Graham Clark (19 off 18), Shamim Hossain (15 off 16), and Haider Ali (16 off 11) helped Chittagong reach a competitive total. Mosaddek Hossain and Nazmul Islam Apu shone with the ball for Dhaka, each picking up two wickets.  

In response, Dhaka Capitals started strong, with Tanzid Tamim and Litton Das adding 75 runs in 9 overs. Litton scored a steady 25 off 28 balls before falling, while Munim Shahriar contributed 12 off 18. Tanzid continued his blistering form, racing to a half-century in just 28 balls and anchoring the chase with a powerful knock. Sabbir Rahman added an unbeaten 14 off 9 to finish the game.  

Dhaka�s victory adds excitement to the playoff race as they look to build on this momentum. Meanwhile, Chittagong Kings will aim to regroup and strengthen their position in the next matches.
