Two more devotees die at Bishwa Ijtema

The deceased are - Ramiz Ali, 60, a resident of Tegaria area in Habiganj Sadar upazila, Yakub Ali, 60, from Ragabpur area of Bahubal police station in the same district, confirmed the media coordinator for Shurai Nezam (Maulana Zubair), Habibullah Raihan. 

Ramiz Ali passed away on Saturday afternoon, and Yakub Ali died in the early hours of the same day. Earlier, on Friday, January 31, around 11 AM, two devotees-- Chabet Ali, 70, and Abdul Quddus Gazi, 60, -- died at the Ijtema venue, he said.

He also stated that all four men were attending Bishwa Ijtema with their Tablighi Jamat companions.

The first phase of the 58th World Ijtema began with a general address by Maulana Ibrahim Deola, who arrived from India, after Maghrib prayers on Thursday, January 30. Followers of Shurai Nezam participated in the event. The first phase of the Ijtema will conclude with the final prayer at 9 AM on Sunday.
